Your new role
Position: Miele Professional Field Service Technician
Location: Field based - South
Reporting to: Miele Professional Field Service Manager
You will be servicing and repairing of the complete range of Miele Professional appliances installed in a wide range of commercial applications, companies & businesses. For example, industrial washing machines, tumble dryers and laboratory equipment washers. As a Miele Professional Technician, no two days are the same and you will experience different working environments each and every day. Some out of area travel, occasional stays away from home and out of hours work may be required. Therefore, flexibility is an essential requirement.
It is imperative to be a successful applicant, that you can show that you are a high performing engineer / technician in the field, with role model behaviours. Acting as Brand and Technical Ambassador, you will promote and maintain a premium customer experience at all times.
What we will expect from you
You will carry out Field Professional Service Technician duties as and when required in line with customer requirements and Service KPI demands including planned maintenance, fault diagnosis / repair and electrical safety testing.
Develop and maintain service plans for the product scope, explore new business, i.e. service contracts, planned maintenance schedules, etc.
Ensure all preparation of jobs, spares returns, vehicle maintenance, software downloads / updates and essential administration is undertaken on a daily basis.
Attend and satisfactorily complete designated company approved technical training courses (provided both internally and externally).
You will be provided with a Miele company vehicle, all tools and state of the art test equipment to carry out your work effectively and efficiently. You will be required to attend training and / or meetings at head office in Abingdon, Oxfordshire that may require overnight stays and there may also be future overseas training opportunities at Miele HQ in Germany.
The successful candidate will have a very high level of general technical knowledge mechanically and electrically. Experience in Commercial appliances i.e., laundry, medical washer disinfectors / laboratory washers would also be an advantage. A gas qualification would be desirable together with solid IT skills.
We are also looking for someone who is self-motivated with excellent organisational and communication skills, demonstrates good practice and a good team player that will ensure our customers receive a premium level of service.
