Your new role
Position: Miele Professional - Field Service Technician
Commercial appliances and equipment
Location: London SM / KT Postcode area (inside M25)
Reporting to: Professional Field Service Manager
You will be servicing and repairing the complete range of Professional appliances installed in a wide range of commercial applications, companies & businesses. For example, industrial washing machines, tumble dryers and laboratory equipment washers. As a Miele Professional Technician working from home, no two days are the same and you will experience different working environments each and every day. Some out of area travel, occasional stays away from home and out of hours work may be required and we ask for flexibility around this element.
It is imperative, to be a successful applicant, that you can show that you are a high performing engineer / technician in the field, with role model behaviours. Acting as Brand and Technical Ambassador, you will promote and maintain a premium customer experience at all times.
What we will expect from you
You will carry out your duties in line with customer requirements and Service KPI demands including planned maintenance, fault diagnosis / repair and electrical safety testing.
Developing and maintaining service plans for the product range, exploring new business opportunities i.e. service contracts, planned maintenance schedules, etc.
To ensure all jobs are carried out successfully, you will be responsible for the preparation of jobs, spares returns, vehicle maintenance, software downloads / updates and essential administration, and ensure that this is factored in to your day on a on a daily basis.
You will be provided with a Miele company vehicle, all tools and state of the art test equipment to carry out your work effectively and efficiently. You will be required to attend training and / or meetings at head office in Abingdon, Oxfordshire that may require overnight stays and there may also be future overseas training opportunities at Miele HQ in Germany.
To ensure your continued success you will receive company approved technical training courses (provided both internally and externally).
About you
You will have a high level of general technical knowledge both mechanically and electrically coupled with good IT skills. Some experience in Commercial appliances across the following would be preferred: Laundry, medical washer disinfectors or laboratory washers. A gas qualification would also be an advantage to your application but not essential.
You will be self-motivated with excellent planning, organistation and communication skills, and have a sense of best practice and teamwork, that will ensure our customers receive a premium level of service.
