We spoke to Mark about why he is proud to work for Miele
Tell us about your career journey to where you are now with Miele?
After finishing my A levels, I spent 17 years with Waitrose, progressing from Management Trainee, to Section Manager working in various stores including the new flagship store in Oxford.
I joined Miele in February 2018 as a Retail and Stockroom Assistant, where I looked after the stock control of the items and distribution of stock to our consumers.
I currently work in Direct Sales, and really enjoy the fast pace of this environment, with the added bonus of having the opportunity to see the customer journey from product arriving from workshop to leaving us for delivery to our consumers.
What are you proud of in your time at Miele?
I really felt proud to have the opportunity to go to the new store openings in Bluewater and Solihull, supporting our retail expansion and representing the brand to both the new team members and the customers.
I could pass on the skills and knowledge I have gained to empower the new team and build their own confidence, in making the new venture successful.
Why Miele?
I really enjoy having confidence in our products when I sell them. I have a selection of Miele products in my own home, so I can add a personal touch when explaining the benefits to the consumers and what works well for me in my daily life.
What advice would you give to someone thinking of joining Miele?
It’s a family owned company, they really value their employees and give you the opportunity to grow in your role, while maintaining a great work/life balance.
